When to pay your rent ?
When it comes to the payment of rent, it is always a question for you as to when you should pay your rent.
There are many factors to pay rent and some of these are, based on rent contract, verbal agreement with the landlord or based on mutual agreement to pay rent through bank transfer.
While some landlords prefer to receive rent on 1st of every month, others prefer receive either before 15th of every month or 20th of every month.
Some times bank transfer can also be preferred if you have to bank account number of landlord.
Rent is paid either in the form of cash or in the form of cheque or direct credit to bank account of landlord.
Whenever your payment is rent is delayed by one or two weeks, it is always recommended to intimate the owner about the delay either in writing or make a phone call and this will keep your owner to wait for payment and will not take the trouble to contact you and ask for rent.
Apart from this, you can also request landlord to extend the time for payment of rent due to some difficulty such as delay in receiving salary payments or income from business.
There is always a good requirement to maintain good and cordial relation with the landlord and this will help you to stay as a good tenant for a longer period of time.
